Addiction and substance abuse is a growing crisis for too many of our youth and young adults in Canada. The Simon Wood Foundation provides much needed bursaries for the families of young people in need of substance abuse treatment who would otherwise not be able to afford it.
- Young people deserve timely, age specific and affordable treatment
- Young people don’t have to die from addiction
- Young people who struggle with addiction are still people and deserve to be seen with curiosity, not judgment
- Recovery from addiction for young people is most successful when the family unit has access to care and participates in treatment
