My Story…
I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in 2020. After several months of hospital visits, procedures, medications and, well, pain, my wonderful healthcare team was able to find a treatment for me that works. With support from my friends and family, and my own dedication to a healthy lifestyle, I can live my life as seemingly normal as anyone.
However, there are many who are not so fortunate. It's them, and everyone who struggles with this chronic illness, I'm fundraising for. It is an honour to not only make a contribution to an organization like Crohn's Colitis Canada, but to participant in the fundraising event as an athlete.
