My Story…

Fundraising in Memory of Claude

Annex Cat Rescue is dedicated to reducing the suffering of Toronto's street cats, eliminating cat homelessness, and creating the safe & loving indoor second chances that formerly homeless street cats deserve.

This is my second year volunteering with Annex Cat Rescue and fundraising for the Toronto Waterfront Marathon. This will also be my second and final year with my Annex Fospice (foster+hospice) kitty, Claude.

Monsieur Claude was a sweet and sassy cuddlebug who ended up finding his forever home with me. He was a complex case but I am forever grateful to Annex Cat Rescue for allowing me the opportunity to have Claude in my care, providing payment for all of his treatments to give him a fighting chance, and for the emotional support throughout my journey with Claude. (Also a shoutout to his vet, the amazing team at Bloorcourt Veterinary Clinic!) I am currently taking a break from fostering but I'm confident I will continue again soon.

Annex Cat Rescue truly makes a difference in the lives of our homeless feline friends in need, and the humans that grow to care for them.
