Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out to let you know about a great organization near and dear to my heart, that I have been working at as a Supervisor for almost 3 years. 

UrbanPromise Toronto vision is a generation of young leaders from Toronto Community Housing who love Jesus and serve their community. These under-resourced communities often present challenges that no child should have to face. Challenges such as material poverty, broken homes and families, lack of extracurricular programs, educational support, and spiritual awareness can result in destructive cycles.

Our team at UrbanPromise Toronto knows that the children, youth & families we serve are filled with amazing potential. And we desire to unleash their God-given potential and allow them to see the world of possibilities that is before them.

The approach is a 20-year journey with a child and their family forming meaningful relationships focusing on spiritual, social, and academic growth. We offer 43 weeks of programming, including afterschool programs, March Break and Summer camp to over 100 kids and their families.

That’s why I’m participating in this year’s Run For Promise.

These funds will help support kids aged 5-14 with tutoring, numeracy and literacy skill development, experiential learning, opportunities for sport and other recreation and most importantly, Biblical teaching and retreats.
