My Story…

My name is Sina Goitom. I was born in Eritrea. In 2022 I went to Ethiopia on foot with the help of two smugglers on a very difficult journey. Me and my family were forced to leave Eritrea because of the religious persecution there. In 2023 I travelled from Ethiopia to Uganda through Kenya to get an asylum paper. The journey was very terrible. It was in the deserts of Kenya where I faced many problems. It took me a month. I arrived in Canada as a permanent resident this summer sponsored by the holy Trinity Refugee Committee here in Canada I hope to get a better education and a good job to improve my life .
