Help Sarina raise money

I'm sure no one has asked you for a donation lately but hear me out because this is for a great cause! My name is Sarina, and I’m raising money to run in Twin Cities 10 Mile on October 6th, 2024 for YMCA of the North’s Adventure Team, a cohort of 17+ camps and adventure programs that offer outdoor experiences for all ages, 365 days per year. Y Adventure is fundraising specifically to increase our equity, inclusion and belonging efforts- including but not limited to: scholarships, continued learning experiences for our staff, and more! Y Adventure is committed to creating inclusive, accessible spaces that acknowledge shared history and nurture diverse communities.

My journey with Y Adventure started over a decade ago when a friend invited me along with my kids to share a tiny cabin in the woods at Camp Du Nord. I was hooked within minutes of arriving. My boys and I have been going to Camp Du Nord ever since.  One year instead of gifts for Christmas I told the boys they could pick an experience and of course they picked Du Nord, and we've been going then. Their papa joins at Christmas as well and has come to love Du Nord as well.  It has been a place where we come together as family, spend time unplugged in nature. For my boys it feels a bit like home. My eldest son had the opportunity to attend the Leadership Development Program at Camp Du Nord and it had a profound impact on him socially and emotionally, especially after the pandemic. My other son will be applying this summer as well. The intrinsic value of the outdoors is something I believe every person should have access to, it is a healing place, a place to connect with others, create lasting memories and friendships. Please help me in our effort to ensure that we can a space of healing, growth and belonging for people of all backgrounds.
