Help Olivia raise money

Hello future donors! My name is Olivia, but at camp I’m better known as River. I’m raising money to run the Twin Cities 10 mile on October 6th, 2024 for YMCA of the North’s Adventure Team, a cohort of 17+ camps and adventure programs that offer outdoor experiences for all ages, 365 days a year. Y Adventure is fundraising specifically to increase our equity, inclusion and belonging efforts- including but not limited to: scholarships, trainings, continued learning experiences for our staff, and more! Y Adventure is committed to creating inclusive, accessible spaces that acknowledge shared history and nurture diverse communities.

I am currently in my 4th summer as Assistant Director at Camp Heritage, and have been on staff since 2018. When I’m not at Camp Heritage, you can find me at Camp St. Croix teaching at Little Seeds Nature Preschool! 

Youth work, camp and nature preschool have become a core part of my identity, and I am passionate about giving other people access to these incredible spaces I get to work in. They all have brought me so many valuable lessons, relationships and memories! The intrinsic value of the outdoors is something I believe every person should have access to, it is a healing place, a place to connect with others, create lasting memories and friendships. Please help me in our effort to ensure that we can a space of healing, growth and belonging for people of all backgrounds.
