Help Sam raise money

Hello! My name is Sam DiVita, and I’m raising money to run in Twin Cities 10-mile on October 6th, 2024 for YMCA of the North’s Adventure Team, a cohort of 17+ camps and adventure programs that offer outdoor experiences for all ages, 365 days per year. Y Adventure is fundraising specifically to increase our equity, inclusion and belonging efforts- including but not limited to: scholarships, continued learning experiences for our staff, and more! Y Adventure is committed to creating inclusive, accessible spaces that acknowledge shared history and nurture diverse communities.

I am currently the Camp Northern Lights Community Advisory Board Chair and have volunteered for the past 12 years with specific attention to increasing access to camp for all families, especially those currently underrepresented. Family camp has been a huge part of my family's life and offered countless opportunities to experience the wilderness, try new adventures and learn new skills, as well as challenge each of us in different ways. Both of my sons benefitted from overnight and family camp trips, worked as seasonal staff, and one now serves on the community board alongside me and my wife. We've all developed many lasting friendships from our family camp experiences and continue to share camp with friends from all parts of our lives. Y of the North camps have added so much to our family!
