Help Maya raise money

Hi everyone! My name is Maya and I’m raising money to run the Twin Cities 10-mile on October 6th, 2024 for YMCA of the North’s Adventure Team, a cohort of 17+ camps and adventure programs that offer outdoor experiences for all ages, 365 days per year. Y Adventure is fundraising specifically to increase our equity, inclusion and belonging efforts- including but not limited to: scholarships, continued learning experiences for our staff, and more! YAdventure is committed to creating inclusive, accessible spaces that acknowledge shared history and nurture diverse communities.

I first started going to overnight camp at just six years old and it made a profound impact on my life. After growing up in many camp programs, I then went on to work at Icaghowan. I spent six summers at Icaghowan working as a cabin counselor, trip leader, Venture Unit Leader and Assistant Director. I then spent a little over two years as the full time Program Director at Icaghowan which further ignited my passion for equity in the outdoors. I believe camping and the outdoors can truly make an impact on so many lives. 

All proceeds will go directly to supporting our team’s equity, inclusion and belonging efforts. I am incredibly grateful for your support and creating a space of belonging for all.
