My Story…
My family is forever grateful to Colorectal Cancer Resource and Action Network for their advocacy, care and understanding in working with us towards successful treatment outcome for my wife Yu Wang Li. Wang Li had two surgeries at UHN Toronto General Hospital in 2022 with Invivo, isolated lung perfusion procedure by Dr. Marcelo Cypel, Head of Thoracic Surgery to remove multiple Colorectal Cancer turps that had metastasized to all lobes in both lungs. She was a patient in this trial procedure and CCRAN people had advocated for Wang Li to be part of this trial program. Two follow-up screenings in 2023 show no evidence of disease (NED) and Wang Li made the decision to have additional traditional Chinese medicine followup treatments in China. Next screening in Canada is in May 2024 and we are looking forward to continuing NED. CCRAN is one of those rare organizations that 'say what they do and, do what they say.
