My Story…
Help Save Dogs Like Maddox!
Maddox was found as a stray puppy on the streets in 2015. He was rescued by the Oakville & Milton Humane Society (OMHS) and placed in an adoptive home. That family kept him for 6 years, trained him well, then surrendered him back to OMHS in 2021 for personal reasons. I was volunteering as a foster parent at OMHS then, so I got to meet Maddox as a foster dog for the first time.
No one came for him, no one wanted him, but we had the best time together. He had to be sent back to OMHS after 4 months of fostering because I had to go to another province to finish the second year of my master’s degree. I kept going to OMHS to drop off treats and toys for him whenever I was back home for the holidays.
When I returned after graduation (after 10 months), Maddox was still at OMHS! In 2022, he turned 7 years old. He became one of their long-term senior residents because no one came for him. I applied to adopt him the second I landed back in Ontario and brought him to his forever home in May 2022. Today, he is the youngest member of our family, spoiled rotten and we have been inseparable ever since.
I am raising funds to help support OMHS's mission in providing much-needed care, shelter and love to animals in need.
Donate to help Maddox raise money for Bronte Creek 5 and 10K’s fundraising campaign.
