Astoria's premiere half marathon, 10k, and 5k. Enjoy a run along the Astoria Riverwalk and stay for the after-party sponsored by Buoy Beer. Registration includes a locally made stamped glass finishers' medal and a beverage from Buoy Beer Company.
Run on the River proceeds go to funding swimming lessons and scholarships to Astoria Parks and Recreation youth programs, and more.

As you know, Run on the River is a great community event and fundraiser for the Astoria Parks Recreation Community Foundation. Thank you for your support!
Below find all the information you will need for packet pickup and race day. If you have any questions or changes, please feel free to contact me at runontheriver.astoria@gmail.com or visit the registration page for details.
*We recommend that you have a digital copy of your registration handy.
This year we are kicking the party up a notch with the Buoy Lager Fest taking place Friday and Saturday at Buoy Beer. On Saturday festivities will get started around noon.
PACKET PICKUP:
To avoid any delays starting the race, please try to pick up your packet before race day. Packet pick up details will be released soon.
We will not be giving out bags this year. You will just receive your preassigned race bib with the food and beverage tickets attached and your t-shirt (if you ordered one). Route maps will be available to take a picture of or you can follow the link on the registration page.
PACKET PICKUP TIMES:
There will be two packet pickup opportunities:
4:30 pm - 7 pm at Buoy Lager Fest, located at: 1 8th St, Astoria OR 97103
Race Morning starting at 8:00 am until 10:45 am
Please plan on arriving at least 45 minutes before your race start time to allow you time to park and pickup your packet if you're planning to pick up on race day.
You may still make changes as they pertain to the race you are running in person at packet pickup. Also, if you will be transferring your entry to someone else, you may do so at packet pickup. A new registration sheet will need to be filled out and signed. Proof of permission to transfer will be required from the original purchaser.

The start and finish location for each race is at the end of 7th Street toward the River.
PARKING:
Limited parking is available on the streets near the location but you may park in the DHS parking lot (450 Marine Drive) or at the Aquatic Center (1997 Marine Drive). Walking and carpooling are advised.

11:00 AM - Food trucks open for participants
After 11:00 AM - Kids Fun Run at 8th Street
11:30/45 AM - Awards Begin at 7th Street
NOON - Route cleared for Trolley (but still open for finishers)
NOON - Food trucks open for guests/Buoy Lager Fest begins
PLEASE BE ADVISED:
We do not offer gear check at this event. We will not be storing personal belongings and we ask that you leave them at home, in your vehicle or with a friend during your race.
Please try to carpool or walk from your hotel or home to reduce parking congestion. Arrive as early as possible to avoid any parking stress.
* This is NOT a closed course. Some portions may be closed but there may be other runners/walkers/bikers/dogs/strollers along the Riverwalk.
* Identifiable volunteers will be on hand to help direct pedestrian and vehicle traffic at the few crossings, particularly on the west end.
* Aid stations will be available along the entire half marathon course (which includes the 10K and 5K routes). The stations will offer water and snacks donated by our sponsors.
* Run with care! You will be running across trestles, uneven surfaces, and trolley tracks which can be slick especially when wet (and it "sometimes" rains in Astoria!). Please watch your footing at all times.
We will have a Kids Run starting shortly after the 5k start. Keep an eye out for the Kids Run volunteers, register and buy a Kids Run shirt at the registration table.
The 10K and Half Marathon prize ceremony will begin between 11:30/ 11:45 AM. We will wrap that up with the 5k winner results.
Guests will be able to purchase beverage bands from the registration table. Food can be purchased directly from the trucks beginning around Noon. The Lager Fest glass and tokens are sold separately by Buoy Beer.
Volunteers will begin taking down the route barricades at Noon so the Trolley can roll through. Do not be discouraged if you come in after that! We will be cheering you on.

Overall first place male/female finishers will receive $200.
Overall second place male/female finishers will receive $100.
Overall third place male/female finishers will receive $50.
Age division winners, first through third place, will receive a branded ice pack.
10k & 5k Finishers
