Our beautiful course weaves through the quiet streets with ocean views throughout Victoria and Oak Bay.
Plus we are a Boston qualifier plus are World Athletics World Ranking Competition. We see many runners reaching their personal best times on our course.
A few quick facts about the event in October.
- Choose your distance - Marathon, Half Marathon or 8K on Sunday, October 13, starting and finishing in downtown Victoria.
- The Thrifty Foods Kids Run and 5K events will take place on Saturday, October 12, starting and finishing at Willows Park in Oak Bay.
- There will be a course time limit of 6.5 hours for the marathon. There is no early start for any of the distances in 2024. Marathoners must complete the first 13K by 10:15 in order to be allowed to continue the marathon route. Individuals who have not passed the 13K mark by 10:15 will be given the choice to move to the half marathon event distance or withdraw from the event.
- Events will be capped for 2024. In 2023 the marathon, and half marathon both sold out 10 days before race day.
- There will be no strollers or pets allowed on the course. Nordic poles will only be allowed for mobility-impaired participants.
- There are no refunds or deferrals allowed for 2024. You can transfer your registration to another person up until September 15, 2024 for a fee. You can opt in to purchase Race Roster's Enhanced Refund Program.

Please note that this distance is SOLD OUT. Registration will only be accepted via transfer. All participants must finish the marathon within 6 1/2 Hours. Participants have to pass the 13K mark by 10:30am in order to be allowed to continue.

Oak Bay 5K - Saturday, October 12th Closed

The Oak Bay 5K starts and finishes at Willows Park. Out and Back Course along the Esplanade, Estevan and Beach Drive. Receive a race number, timing, medal and souvenir sling bag as part of the race package.

Thrifty Foods Kids Run - Saturday, October 12th Closed

The event will be on Saturday, not Sunday and will start and finish at Willows Park in Oak Bay. All participants will receive a race bag, and a choice of a souvenir toque or a logo’d frisbee.
