This morning I ran the Eastside 10K (September 22nd) and I am seeking your support as I raise funds for the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre (DEWC). DEWC operates 5 women-only service-sites (2 drop-in centres and 3 emergency night shelters) in the Downtown Eastside. Every day they serve 1200 women (cis, trans and 2S) living in extreme poverty, providing a safe space, and a wide range of services covering basic needs and empowerment. With every pledge of just $6, we are allowing them to provide a hotnutritious meal to a woman in a place of safety.
