Help Cindy raise money

Last year my world came to a halt. I had extreme symptoms that couldn’t be ignored. I was put on the urgent list for a colonoscopy at 38 years old and the torturous waiting game began. I waited 5 weeks for the procedure and then what felt like forever for the results. I tried to stay positive but all I was going off of for ‘hope’ was the picture of the enormous growth and hazy memories of the doctor saying, “this isn’t good,” and, “I wasn’t expecting this at your age.” The wait was awful. Thankfully I caught things early. The doctor told me “within months” I would have had full blown colorectal cancer. I feel so blessed that my husband and I advocated for screening and that I had doctors who took my concerns seriously. I am now a “frequent flyer for life” in the colonscopy department but am so grateful I will be monitored. I am running my first ever 5K to raise awareness for early screening and to not ignore symptoms!
