My Story…
In 2011, I ran the Philadelphia Marathon for the first and only time. This year I have decided to run it again, with the hopes of beating my previous time and proving that age doesn’t mean you need to slow down. The race is being supported by the American Academy of Cancer Research. Having seen patients, friends and family members go through the battle against cancer, I want to help them in that battle by raising funds for AACR. We all have been impacted by cancer one way or another, and know the profound impact it can have on the lives of so many. The way I have seen some people go through the battle with determination and positivity is incredibly inspiring to me. The advances in treatment over recent years is mostly due to donations to fund research and clinical trials. More funding allows for more research which allows for higher chances of achieving better treatment and finding cures. Please consider donating to the AACR to provide support in the future treatment, prevention and cure of cancer. I promise I'll run as fast as I can if you do!
