My Story…
Here we go again: with a lot of hard work and a little luck, I'll be running the AACR Philadelphia Half Marathon on November 23rd. Running a half marathon is always a way to challenge myself, but a few years ago when I ran Philly I also decided to use my race to help raise money for a cause near and dear to me: cancer research. I am once again proudly supporting the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) as part of my 26.2-mile journey through the city this year. On race day, I'll be running...
...in celebration of cancer survivors Debby (my mom!), Laurie, Rose, Aunt Eileen, Diane, and Stacey,
...in honor of Uncle Kevin and James, who are still fighting,
...and in memory of family and friends gone too soon - Uncle Bruce, Jane, Jenny and Nammon.
The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) is on the front lines of the quest for new and innovative ways to understand, prevent, and cure cancer. They bring together the greatest minds in cancer science to defeat the more than 200 types of cancer. Of every dollar donated, 88 cents goes to support lifesaving cancer research.
My personal fundraising goal for this year is $1000. I'd be honored if you'd consider donating to my fundraiser.
