Help Rebecca raise money

The effects of cancer spread far and wide. It's one of the few words that will stop you in your tracks and will change your life. The fact of the matter is, it is unfortunately something the vast majority of us will face in some capacity, at some point in our lives. For me it's personal. I've lost several family members, friends, friends of family, and thankfully know a couple in remission, but the most impactful was the loss of my mother. Mom passed in 2017, from cholangiocarcinoma, a rare but aggressive cancer of the bile ducts. I could just run 26.2 miles for the heck of it (for the first time), but instead I'm choosing to run in her honor, on her birthday none the less, to raise funds for cancer research. Please consider donating whatever you can to the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) through my fundraising page. The AACR is on the front lines to find new and innovative ways to treat, prevent, understand and cure cancer. The funds raised will directly support the AACR through research, education, communication, collaboration, science policy and advocacy, and funding for cancer research. Unfortunately due to a hip injury, I had to transfer my registration from the full marathon to the half marathon. It was an extremely difficult decision and I'm so disappointed about it. Hopefully 26.2 miles can be in my future someday, but for now I have to settle for 13.1. However, the donations and the meaning all remain the same!
