My Story…
You may or may not know I am on the board of the Cleveland Sight Center, an organization committed to providing individualized support for Northeast Ohio residents with low to no vision. The White Cane Walk is an annual fundraiser for CSC and is scheduled for Saturday, June 1 at Wade Lagoon in University Circle and will feature family-friendly activities, music, and treats (yes, there will be ice cream!). Plus, participants will be able to use a white cane under blindfold with the help of a CSC certified orientation and mobility instructor to teach people how to navigate while using a white cane.
This organization is dear to my heart and I am proud to serve on the board.
My mom, Marti, has macular degeneration as did her father. MD is one of many diseases that can negatively impact someone's vision and often results in complete loss of sight. My grandfather was a recipient of services from CSC and I want to ensure the care he and others received carries on for future generations.
I am asking for your support in helping the CSC reach its goal of $100K by supporting my White Cane Walk team with a minimum donation of $25. Funds raised will support programs, tools and training that allows individuals to navigate the visual world.
Thank you for considering a donation!
