The 3rd Annual Santa Fe International 1/2 Marathon
The Santa Fe International Half Marathon isn't just a race; it's a riveting journey under the Southwestern sun that encapsulates the undying spirit of perseverance amid an enthralling backdrop.
The half marathon starts on Old Las Vegas Highway in Santa Fe and transitions onto the Old Santa Fe Trail. As runners embark on the half-marathon journey, they are greeted by picturesque views of Santa Fe's charming and region-rich history, feeling the echoes of travelers long gone.
As we continue to watch 2024 unfold, we are incredibly excited to introduce the 2-person relay team section of the half marathon.
This is an excellent opportunity for the running community to form teams and showcase teamwork and camaraderie over personal best. Whether you're a seasoned marathoner, a beginner on your first relay, or a spectator cheering on your favorite runner or team, we guarantee an unforgettable experience.
With its rugged beauty and Southwestern flair, the Old Las Vegas Highway sets the stage for a scenic route. The final stretch leading to the Santa Fe Railyard is met with cheers and encouragement from spectators, spurring the runners on to cross the finish line with a sense of accomplishment and pride. The course layout is a compact yet invigorating tour of Santa Fe's iconic landmarks, all kissed by perfect weather.
All finishers and the top three age groups' medals will be presented to the participants, symbolizing their hard work and commitment to the race. The medals serve as a tangible reminder of the challenges overcome and the goals achieved during the half marathon. The race t-shirts, adorned with vibrant colors and the event logo, become cherished mementos of the experience, sparking memories of the journey taken on the streets of Santa Fe.
