My Story…
Last year, I felt something wrong in my breast. I could not get in to obtain a mammogram for 6 months. In hindsight, I should have told them I felt a lump so they would have seen me sooner. When I saw the mammogram I knew. I saw the black mass sitting there in my left breast. I was devastated. All I could think about was how was my husband going to cope. His mother died at 62 years old of breast cancer. Now his 59 year old wife had it. I did not want to leave my son motherless. My surgeon is amazing. She has kept me sane during an insane time. My faith in God and my friends and family have rallied around me so I am very blessed. Now I am swimming a mile around a pond. For anyone reading this, do not lose hope. There is always hope and support out there. Don't be afraid to ask.
