Step into a story of resilience and generosity at the UHN Centre for Living Organ Donation’s 5K run!
In 2017, the news of needing a kidney transplant and enduring peritoneal dialysis shook my world. Yet, amid the uncertainty, fate intervened in the form of Ms Megan Perin, a (then) stranger who, in 2018, selflessly donated her kidney to me. This life-altering procedure, performed at the Centre for Living Organ Donation, not only saved my life but created an unbreakable bond between us.
As Megan and I prepare to run side by side in this 5K, we invite you to join our journey of gratitude. Together, let’s raise awareness about the importance of organ donation and celebrate the extraordinary acts of kindness that change lives.
