My Story…
I am active member of the distress center as a crisis responder. Being a suicide attempt survivor, and making a promise to myself that my story will always continue, I take this very seriously and hope you can find it in your heart to support me!
Description
I am proud to be running for Distress Centres of Greater Toronto (DCGT), your support will help DCGT continue to offer free, 24/7 emotional crisis and suicide prevention programs via their Inbound, Outbound and In-Person programs.
Suicide impacts people of all ages and backgrounds in Canada. Every year, approximately 4,500 people in Canada die by suicide, which is equivalent to 12 people dying by suicide every day. For every person lost to suicide, many more experience thoughts of suicide or attempt suicide. Every day, more than 200 people in Canada attempt suicide. For every death by suicide, at least 7 to 10 loved ones are significantly affected by the loss.
Thank you in advance for your donation and supporting the life-saving mission of Distress Centres of Greater Toronto.
