My Story…
Our daughter, Jovie was diagnosed with Double Outlet Right Ventricle and Transposition of the Great Arteries with a Pulmonary Atresia and a Straddling Mitral Valve. Jovie was born in 2022 and spent the first four months of her life in hospital between Saskatoon and Edmonton. Jovie went directly to the NICU after being born and was flown to Edmonton four days later to receive a PDA stent. After this procedure Jovie required oxygen to maintain her sats and was flown back to Saskatoon. She then stayed in the pediatric ward until she was four months old and was flown back to Edmonton for her next procedure. We are so grateful for the amazing team of Peds Cardiologists, NICU nurses, Peds nurses and the transport team who supported us and took care of our little girl in those stressful early days. Jovie has continued to see the cardiology team as an outpatient while she awaits her next procedure. We appreciate the peds cardiologists, nurses and ultrasound techs beyond words as they have done everything to ensure Jovie's appointments go smoothly and things are explained clearly. Our family would like to give back by raising funds to support the Jim Pattison Children's Hospital Foundation's Mending Little Hearts Fund of Saskatchewan.
