My Story…
I have two goals this year as I transition from my 40's to 50. First is to get healthier in all aspects and second is to do my part in making the world we live in a better place for all. Running the Akron Marathon (Relay), with First Serve as the Charity, helps me to get closer to both goals. First Serve was started over ten years ago at my church as a day of Service. It has expanded into a year- long, interfaith community improvement and partnership -building non for profit. It's truly my peace and heaven on earth, when I see Christians (of all denominations), Jews, and Muslims, volunteering to work side by side to help neighbors in our community have better lives. In lieu of any presents this year for my big 50, please consider donating to First Serve, so we may continue to work toward making at least our little place in the world better for all.
