I'm Making My Miles More Meaningful With DetermiNation!
I have been volunteering with the American Cancer Society since 2002, starting with Relay for Life events, first as a participant and then as an Event Leadership Team member for one of the largest collegiate Relay events in the country, Northeastern University (my alma mater), before joining the Young Professionals of the American Cancer Society Boston in 2019. I served first on the Mission and Advocacy Committee, as a member and then as Committee Director, and then stepped into the Vice President/Event Logistics Co-Director role last year, before becoming President of YPACS in January 2024.
In my time volunteering with ACS, my list of those I run in memory of has only gotten longer. However, so has those I run in celebration of; I credit this in large part to the work that ACS does to promote prevention and screening, and funding a variety of scientific research programs and projects. I’m so excited to be running the Falmouth for the third time (my second with ACS!) and to raise funds that will continue supporting all that ACS does!

Why I Support the American Cancer Society
Cancer has affected so many people I know and love that it’s inspired me to join the American Cancer Society's Team DetermiNation's 2024 ASICS Falmouth Road Race team . Taking part in this iconic and historical road race with DetermiNation gives me the chance to make a difference and honor those touched by cancer by raising funds for groundbreaking research and impactful services for people going through a cancer diagnosis. I’m also participating to inspire hope for those facing the disease. I hope you’ll consider signing up too or supporting my efforts.
Funds raised support cancer patient programs and groundbreaking research that can help save lives. This event also celebrates over 18.1 million cancer survivors nationwide. 18.1 MILLION. That’s huge.
