Help Robert raise money

For participating in The 2024 ASICS Falmouth Road Race

My Story…

A determined individual, fueled by sheer willpower and the promise of post-run beers and snacks, embarking on a charitable journey disguised as a run. With each step resembling more of a leisurely stroll than a sprint, this declining athlete defies the conventional definition of speed, opting instead for a slow-motion spectacle that rivals even the most relaxed Sunday stroll.

But fear not, dear spectators, for behind this facade of sluggishness lies a heart bursting with enthusiasm for the noble cause at hand. With every labored breath and awkward stride, this runner champions a mission greater than personal glory: to raise awareness and support for those in need.

So, if you happen to spot a figure resembling a cross between a sloth and a marathoner making its way along the route, fear not! It's just me, your friendly neighborhood tortoise, putting the 'fun' in fundraising. Join me in this comical crusade, where the only finish line we truly aim for is a world made brighter through our collective efforts!!

Description

A local 501(c)(3) non-profit, the Hannon Foundation Inc. was formed to assist families in eastern Massachusetts who are in financial crisis due to a parent’s loss of employment, or a family member’s medical condition. Our goal and our mission is to help our community one family at a time.

Our 2015 golf tournament was the inspiration for creating the foundation. The tournament was held in support of the 2-year old son of a friend who was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. The money raised at that tournament allowed dad to take time off work to be with his son during chemotherapy, scans and transfusions, and to spend time with the rest of his family.  There are stories like this everywhere, and we were inspired to keep going.

This will be our sixth year participating in the Falmouth Road Race, and our fifth as an official nonprofit organization. We invite you to read about our beneficiaries and other fundraising events such as The Hannon Open Golf Tournament, the Ted Hannon Memorial Sporting Clay Shoot and the Ted Hannon Texas Hold Em tournament on our web site: https://www.thehannonfoundation.org/

Thank you for taking the time to visit our page. If you are not in the position to donate this year, we would appreciate your help spreading the word about our organization. Every little bit helps!
