Running the Falmouth Road Race has always been a dream of mine, having family that have participated year after year. I have always doubted my athleticism or capacity to finish the race.
This year when I received the email about joining the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition Team for the Falmouth Road, I again questioned capability to reach my goals and run the race. Then I thought of my mother. She is the most resilient and determined person that I know. My mother has been diagnosed with cancer twice, and has never let the diagnosis stop her. She has taken every speed bump, twist and turn that life has given her with grace and hope. I aspire to be just like my mother and am determined to make her proud this August.
The Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition is an organization near to my heart, as my mother's first diagnosis was breast cancer. Please consider supporting this cause.
