Help Debra raise money

I am back at it again, running my 3rd Falmouth Road Race in memory of my dad. Still seems surreal that he's been gone for 3 1/2 years.

  For those that don't know my story, here it is. Back in 2018 my dad had major surgery on his head and neck for squamous cell CA. He went to Brockton Hospital Cancer Center for his treatment. He finished up his treatment in 2019.  Everything seemed find, until it wasn't. In 2020 my dad noticed that when he coughed, he would sometimes have bloody sputum. He went to the doctor's and they ran some scans and found a spot on his left lower lobe.  Several scans later, they found a huge mass in the Left Main Stem Bronchus. The surgeon told us that there was nothing she could do surgically to remove that mass, because he would end up losing his whole left lung, he would need chemo and radiation. He spent most of August in and out of hospitals, having tests to get ready for chemo and radiation, then he ended up with pneumonia and spent a week in the hospital. I picked him up on August 31st.  He was ready to start chemo and radiation to shrink this tumor.  Then on September 9th I got a call I never wanted to hear...my dad was gone. He spent more time in and out of hospitals and more time getting ready to start treatment than he actually spent getting treatment.  And ever since then, our lives were never the same. 

I am honored to run for Greene Cancer Center, to help raise funds for cancer patients and their families. Because during a time like this, patients and families do not need to worry about anything other than their loved one.
