Team Eye and Ear Falmouth 2024
Hello and welcome to my page. I am lucky enough to be representing Team Eye & Ear again in this year's Falmouth Road Race and my goal is to raise over $1,000 in donations - any help at all is greatly appreciated. I've included a little bit about myself and why I've decided to run for this team below:
During college, it was discovered at a routine eye exam that my girlfriend's right retina was detaching. Luckily for her, she worked in Boston and had immediate access to the Mass Eye and Ear Longwood facility. We were both incredibly happy and grateful for the high-quality care and attention to detail that she received from the doctors and nursing staff throughout the entire procedure. Everyone had tremendous bedside manner and made sure to do everything possible to make her feel as comfortable as could be. It has been over four years since she had this done and has had absolutely no issues post-recovery.
Mass Eye and Ear was also there for one of my best friends who was diagnosed with Wegener's Disease during college. At a certain point, it had gotten so bad that his life was truly in jeopardy. Thanks to the great care and treatments that he was able to receive from Mass Eye and Ear, he was able to make a full recovery and get to a point where he just needs to monitor his condition. Otherwise, he has been able to return to living a normal lifestyle.
I was also a patient at Mass Eye and Ear late last year while I was getting checked out for a minor thyroid issue. The doctor and nurses made me feel very comfortable and confident that my care was put in the right hands.
