Here's my story ...
I am running to support the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America. This is a great cause that is not often the 1st to get financial support. For me the race is more than the charity. I am spending this year focusing on recapturing my life. In my late 20's I was diagnosed with Cushing Syndrome. In one year I gained over 150lbs. I went from being physically fit, to struggling to get out of bed in the morning. Despite no longer suffering from Cushings, I have struggled to lose the weight I put on all that time ago. I am using this race as motivation and a challenge to finally get my health back. I have lost 60lb in the last 3 months, over 100lb in the last year and will be pushing for another 40lb by August. Please support the cause and for me I am just happy to be here.
Description
I am excited to be running the 2024 ASICS Falmouth Road Race in support of The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, New England Chapter. All donations to help with my fundraising are greatly appreciated, thank you.
How many of your family members and friends are affected by food allergies, environmental allergies, or have asthma? Very likely, more and more. The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, New England Chapter helps people with such conditions live healthier, safer and more active lives through patient education, public awareness and continuing research. It's been our mission since 1979 -- and it's becoming more important than ever.
Please support our THIRD Falmouth Road Race team to help our organization continue such important work!
