Help Sam raise money

Anyone who has set off from the crowded starting line in Woods Hole knows how special this race experience is.  The first several times I ran, it was a nice marker on the calendar, and a good motivational tool to keep in shape.  In more recent years I've joined a fundraising cause and run as a member of the We Beat Cancer team.  This is a cause - providing financial help to cancer patients and their families and caregivers - that resonates with me, as I've lost a parent and several friends to different forms of cancer.  I run in their honor on race day, and while the scientific community searches for increasingly effective treatments, any proceeds from our charity team's fundraising efforts will grant a little bit of additional comfort and support for individuals affected by the disease.
