Help Elizabeth raise money

On August 18th, 2024, I’ll be running the Falmouth Road Race on the Grey Nation Endurance team in support of the National Brain Tumor Society. I’m running to celebrate and mark 20 years as a childhood cancer survivor. 

I was diagnosed with a brain tumor (medulloblastoma) in 2004 when I was 11 years old, and underwent brain surgery to remove the tumor, followed by radiation therapy and chemotherapy. I am forever grateful to the care team who saved my life and continue to treat me now. 

I consider myself incredibly lucky, but many other kids battling brain tumors will not be. We need better, targeted treatments with fewer long-term side effects; there has never been a therapy developed and approved specifically for pediatric brain tumors, and that has to change.

That's why I'm running for the National Brain Tumor Society. They fund crucial clinical trials, provide support for families, and advocate tirelessly for legislation that will help the brain tumor community in countless ways, both pediatric and adult.
