My Story…
Hi There, Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! On August 18th, I am running the Falmouth Road Race 2024 to raise money for an amazing organization called One Summit. This organization helps pediatric cancer patients and their siblings build resilience by working directly with a Navy Seal.
My life was personally impacted by pediatric cancer when my childhood best friend, Lisa, with diagnosed at 10 years old. Lisa was my sister, not by blood, but by every other definition. We spent just about every moment together, so much so that we practically had our own language.
Lisa was diagnosed with liver cancer, and I witnessed firsthand the physical and emotional battle Lisa went through with cancer treatment. Unfortunately, the summer after Lisa's 13th birthday she passed away after a long, 3-year, courageous fight against cancer.
No child deserves to go through what Lisa went through and I want to honor her memory in raising money for an organization that allows kids to be kids even when they are battling cancer.
Lisa continues to inspire me every day and her story lead me to a career in healthcare. I want to continue honoring her memory by giving back to future kids who may have to go through what she had to.
Through One Summit, we can help provide a community to surround kids fighting cancer and give them the strength and resilience they will need on their journey.

I couldn't be more excited to be part of Team One Summit. The task of running a race may seem daunting but pales in comparison to those suffering from pediatric cancer. It's an honor to participate in this year's Falmouth Road Race in support of One Summit - a nonprofit with a mission of building resilience in kids battling cancer through experiential learning and mentorship with U.S. Navy SEALs.
