Help Megan raise money

For participating in The 2024 ASICS Falmouth Road Race

Support the mission to save and heal lives through donation!

Hello Everyone! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my Falmouth fundraising page. Coming fresh off the Boston Marathon I could not be more excited to be back, taking on the OG race! This will be my 11th year running Falmouth as part of team NEDS  and I could not be more honored. One of my favorite things about running for NEDS is the connections that I have made over the years whether it be with people on the team or a stranger on the street. Organ donation is such a beautiful thing and the stories that others share about their personal connection is truly heartwarming and inspiring.

NEDS has and will always hold a special place in my heart. As many of you know my Dad received a kidney transplant, the gift of life, back in 2007. That transplant gave us 13 more beautiful years with him. As I look ahead to August it will now be my 4th Falmouth where he isn’t on the sidelines cheering me on. It hasn’t gotten easier as time has passed. Another Falmouth Road Race is another milestone that he will be missing. I do however know that he is with me stride for stride as I run the 7, likely very HOT miles.

As I reflect to last year’s race, if there was ever a doubt in my mind that he wasn’t with me he sure proved me wrong. My Dad sent me so many signs letting me know that he was right there with me the entire time. There is not a doubt in my mind that will be the case at this year’s race.

I have said it before and I will say it again, I strongly believe that this is one of my many purposes in life. I plan to run this race as a part of team NEDS for as long as I possibly can. I will continue to run for my dad and to honor my dad. He was a true inspiration to me, and I am still continuously in awe of his perseverance and determination.

Finally, I also run this race to show my two boys, Liam and Owen, that anything you put your mind to is possible. That they should voice and support the things that they feel passionately about. It is a great opportunity for me as their mom to share a part of my Dad's story with them. I hope they can really start to see how special of a man their Pépère was and that this is just one way to help keep his memory alive. 💛

Thank you to everyone who continuously supports me each year. I am forever grateful for your kindness and generosity. Please know that your donation no matter the size has the power to save a life. 💙💚

Here is to you Daddy. Love you BIG. 💛

Description

New England Donor Services is the not-for-profit organization serving the region for organ and tissue donation. There are currently 6,500 patients waiting for an organ transplant in New England and countless others will require tissue to heal this year. With approximately half of the population registered donor, it's critical for more people to join the Donor Registry today. Funds are needed to help educate the community about the importance of organ and tissue donation and the need across the community. Give now and show your support!
