My Reason to Run
Why I Am Running the Falmouth Road Race for Back on My Feet
As the founder of Nutritive Fitness and someone who has experienced the transformative power of recovery, I am honored to run the Falmouth Road Race to support Back on My Feet. Their mission to empower individuals to achieve economic independence through fitness and community deeply resonates with my own journey and the work we do at Nutritive Fitness.
At Nutritive Fitness, we believe in the holistic treatment of addiction and mental health issues, recognizing that true recovery encompasses physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Our upcoming event, the "Run for Gratefulness," where I will run 1,950 miles from Boston to Sacramento, aims to raise awareness about addiction and mental health issues, and promote the power of community and accountability in the recovery process.
Back on My Feet's approach aligns perfectly with our values. By engaging individuals experiencing homelessness or addiction through regular runs and walks, they foster a sense of community and responsibility, key elements in the journey to recovery. The simple act of running together builds bonds, instills discipline, and offers hope—transformative steps that lead to lasting change.
I am running the Falmouth Road Race to raise $1,200 for Back on My Feet because I believe in their mission and have seen firsthand how fitness and community support can change lives. Every dollar raised will help provide the resources and support necessary for individuals to overcome their challenges and achieve economic independence.
Supporting Back on My Feet means contributing to a cause that not only changes lives but also strengthens our communities. By participating in this race and raising these funds, we can offer more individuals the opportunity to rebuild their lives through the power of fitness and community.
Thank you for your support and for believing in the transformative power of recovery and community. Together, we can make a difference.
Warm regards,
Richard Cassidy Founder, Nutritive Fitness
