Welcome to my 2024 ASICS Falmouth Road Race Page!
For as long as I can remember, Dani Aftandilian and her family have been a part of my life. Starting from NSU soccer, to living down the hall together at the Governor’s Academy to finally joining me at St. Lawrence University, she has become family.
Four years ago her dad Ara was diagnosed with glioblastoma which is an aggressive terminal brain cancer. He ran multiple marathons, including the Boston Marathon. He started running the Falmouth Road race when he started dating his wife Terri Lee, and continued to do so every year leading up until his diagnosis. After his first surgery in June 2019, he waited six weeks to the day when he had the green light to go for a run. And he did. He was never able to run Falmouth again as he passed in August 2021. It is my honor to run this race for Ara and his family. 100% of the money goes to the National Brain Tumor Society to help prevent and cure diseases like GBM.
