My Story…
As a child, I spent most of my summers on Cape Cod with my grandparents. We would pass the days sitting on the boat, swimming at the beach, and talking for hours long into the night. Some of my most treasured memories are with my Nana and Papa on the Cape.
Anyone who met my Nana would agree that she was incomparable. She was compassionate, kindhearted, and the strongest woman I have ever known. My Nana suffered from Lupus, a chronic autoimmune disease that gradually ate away at her ability to do activities she used to love. Due to numerous health challenges including Lupus, my Nana died in September 2020.
My Nana always encouraged my sister and me to be the best versions of ourselves, and I like to think that she would be proud of the woman I am today. In honor of my beautiful, wonderful Nana I am running the Falmouth Road Race in August 2024. 100% of the money donated goes to the Lupus Foundation to help discover ways to control Lupus symptoms and ultimately find a cure for this debilitating disease. Thank you so much for your support!
