My Story....
I am excited to be participating in the Falmouth Road Race in August 2024 to support the FSHD Society, an organization dedicated to finding a cure for Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD). This cause is extremely personal to me, as many of my family members, including my mother, are afflicted by this genetic disease.
FSHD is among the most prevalent forms of muscular dystrophy, causing progressive muscle weakness that can significantly impact one's quality of life over time. Every day, I take time to appreciate the mobility and strength of my body that allow me to run, climb, and move freely. It's the simple tasks, like reaching for a dish on a high shelf or picking up a dog toy from the ground, that I help me realize what others may struggle with.
Your generous donations will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by FSHD. Together, we can support vital research and provide hope for a brighter future. Join me in making a difference today.
I am running because I want to make sure no one has to face FSHD alone. My goal is to move the FSHD Society closer to a cure. Thank you for all your support and generosity!
