On May 10, 2017, Alzheimer's Disease stole my beloved mother, Betty Blais, from my family. Since then, it has relentlessly continued its assault, claiming my Aunt Janis, my Uncle Bill, and now afflicting two more of my mother's siblings. The havoc it has wreaked on my family is immeasurable. But I refuse to stand by idly while this disease tears apart more families.
The Fight Back:
I am taking a stand. I am fighting back against Alzheimer's Disease. The only way we will end this scourge is through relentless research, testing, and activism. That's why I am running in the 2024 Falmouth Road Race - to raise awareness and funds for crucial care, support, and research initiatives.
Why I Need Your Help:
I cannot do this alone. I need your support. I am running for my family, for your family, and for every family who has been or will be affected by Alzheimer's Disease. Together, we can make a difference. Together, we can ensure that other families don't have to endure the pain of losing their loved ones to this cruel disease.
