My Story…
Hey all! I know I’m just coming off another fundraising event but, “Here we go again!” This time I’m trying to raise money for Joe Q Veteran Coffee Break and the New Falmouth Veterans Center on Dillingham Ave. For 14 years I’ve been a member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, working full-time at Otis for the past 8 years. I’ve lived in this community my whole life and intend to stay for the long haul. Joe Q Veteran is working to improve the quality of life for those of us that serve and have served by providing the support and information todays Veterans and their families need. Both my wife’s and my side of the family have proudly served in the Armed Forces and what better way to thank them and all the Veterans in this community, than to raise money for an organization that is giving back day in and day out. As a Falmouth resident, I could just pay the single fee and be guaranteed to run for what will be my 10th year this year, but I say, “Nah!” to that. Please help me on my quest to raise $1200 and show this community’s Veterans the appreciation they deserve! Thank you for your consideration.

More than meeting for coffee, JQVCB is renovating the facility at 300 Dillingham Ave in Falmouth to open and manage a Community Veterans Center. For Veterans and their families, by Veterans and their families, the Center will welcome Veterans and military personnel of all eras and branches of service and their loved ones. The Falmouth Community Veteran Center will be a central location to gather for fellowship, connecting to services, for programs, information resources and training to benefit all Veterans, retired, and active-duty personnel and their families.
