I'm running the 52nd ASICS Falmouth Road Race for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation

Almost a year ago to the day I was diagnosed with stage 2B Ovarian cancer. A complete hysterectomy and 6 rounds of chemo later and I was told I no longer have evidence of disease! The recoveries, the fight, they were all worth it to show my 5 children what it means to BEAT cancer and be OK. 🩵

I owe so much to the Joe Andruzzi Foundation for the unwavering support throughout my journey and my continued journey of this new life. They have not only supported me but our family of 7. Thank you could never be enough.

I choose to run for this foundation to give back to them and to support those going through their own personal cancer journey. For those whose lives have been forever changed from the day they heard “ you have cancer.” I choose to run for those who cannot physically run, for those fighting the good fight, and for those who never lost the faith.❤️

I ask that you help me in raising money to support these patients and their families to help ease their stress during challenging times!

Description

JAF is committed to providing assistance to patients of all ages, any cancer, throughout New England who are struggling financially due to a cancer diagnosis. JAF understands that everyday living expenses don’t stop because of a diagnosis, and JAF provides various programs to help patients make ends meet. Because patients and families must often devote all their energy and resources toward treatment, the Foundation helps alleviate financial and emotional stress by providing grants to assist with rent/mortgage, transportation to treatment, food, and more. Through our Assistance Programs and Wellness Assistance, the grant recipients can focus on their cancer treatment and not the financial distress that comes with it.
