My Story…
Over the past five years, I've had the privilege of getting to know the incredible team at Hospitality Homes and witnessing firsthand the support they provide to families by helping them find a place to call home when receiving critical medical treatment in Boston.
I want to share with all of you the reason why I'm running this year. Meet Khloe! She is 1 years old and came to Boston for medical care at Boston Children's Hospital after a failed heart catheterization. She was born with 5 heart defects and has had 2 open heart surgeries. Coming to Boston was crucial for Khloe in order for BCH to repair her failed catheterization. They came here from Texas and stayed in a Hospitality Homes host home.
"Hospitality Homes quickly found my family and I a host home in a very convenient neighborhood close to the hospital. Our host family was so kind, lots of fun, and very helpful during our stay. I couldn't be more thankful!! Boston performed another heart catheterization in attempt to close a paravalvular leak my daughter had with success!!!” -Mom, Skylar

Your support means the world to me and will help continue to provide housing for patients and families traveling to Boston for critical medical treatment.
With the prohibitively expensive costs of local hotels- averaging $260 per night- and the lack of sufficient hospital- sponsored housing, many patients struggle with what to do, balancing these and other out-of-pocket expenses with the already high cost of responding to a complex or chronic illness.
