I'm running the 52nd ASICS Falmouth Road Race for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation
As an oncology social worker, I have seen first-hand the incredible job the Joe Andruzzi Foundation does in supporting cancer patients all over New England. Few organizations have the genuine understanding of the impact of the cancer journey the way JAF does, and the grants that they provide give a much needed “shot in the arm” both financially and emotionally to patients and their families. I am proud to run for JAF to help support all that they do, and to say a small “thank you” for all of the patients that I have worked with that they have provided grants to. Also very honored to be taking on the Falmouth Road Race with such a wonderful team of runners!
Description
JAF is committed to providing assistance to patients of all ages, any cancer, throughout New England who are struggling financially due to a cancer diagnosis. JAF understands that everyday living expenses don’t stop because of a diagnosis, and JAF provides various programs to help patients make ends meet. Because patients and families must often devote all their energy and resources toward treatment, the Foundation helps alleviate financial and emotional stress by providing grants to assist with rent/mortgage, transportation to treatment, food, and more. Through our Assistance Programs and Wellness Assistance, the grant recipients can focus on their cancer treatment and not the financial distress that comes with it.
Thank you in advance for your support!
