Help Meg raise money

As many of you know, for the past 9 months cancer has kind of been my life.  I was diagnosed with breast cancer in September of 2023 and started treatment in October. To say those 4 months of chemo were long, and hard, and lonely, would be completely true.  Since then I have had a bilateral mastectomy and started on a year’s course of immunotherapy.  The one thing that has kept me going through all these treatments has been the incredible support system I have of friends and family.  I do not say this lightly.  I am blessed with so much support…support that many woman in my same position do not have.  It is with that exact thought in mind that I reached out to Marisa’s Mission to see if I could run the Falmouth Road Race for their charity.  Marisa’s Mission is a charity whose focus is to help cancer patients and their families by lessening their stress and financial burdens. They believe all patients should have the opportunity to focus on what matters most; health and family. To accomplish this goal, Marisa’s Mission supports families in the following ways:

Hospital visits/Parking

Gas

Travel/Lodging

Patient/Family support

Special transportation

Medication or PrescriptionCopays

Special family trips

Caregiving

Alternative therapy

Home care assistance

In other words, Marisa’s Mission helps like a good friend who assists with the nitty gritty details that make daily life with cancer more bearable.
