My Story…
Hi Everyone - I have decided to run the Falmouth Road Race again this year for the Heart Warrior Foundation. This year, as many of you know, will be in memory of my niece Lilah who passed away last year. Lilah's bright spirit and beautiful smile are greatly missed, but her memory continues to inspire anyone who knew her. Groups like the Heart Warrior Foundation help provide support to children with congenital heart defects as well as their families as they navigate their own impossible situations. Thank you, in advance, for any support.
The Heart Warrior Foundation is a Massachusetts based Nonprofit 501c3 (EIN 81-3998870) (MA AG 063269). Our foundation supports children diagnosed with congenital heart defects and their families and medical professionals, specifically through Boston Children's Hospital. · In 2021, we developed a specific fund called “The Peggy Fund” at Boston Children’s Hospital for the mental health and wellness of cardiac nurses. Since its inception, we have donated $225,000
· In 2023, we developed a specific fund called the Thomas Heilner Legacy Fund at Boston Children’s Hospital to assist the cardiac translational research lab. This lab assists with cardiac research and improving outcomes. This fund was started with $100,000.
· Donation to research studies in the field of congenital heart defects.
