My Story…
This summer, I'm running the Falmouth Road race on behalf of my beloved Soccer Without Borders community. As I prepare, I'm thinking of our teams in East Boston, where we've established a strong culture of welcoming and empathy for newcomers and refugees in the city.
I'm thinking of our newest teams in Everett, where the participants proudly wear their jerseys from Brazilian teams and the joy is a signature element because practice and learning a new sport should be fun!
I'm thinking and feeling inspired by the 50 middle school girls who attended our first practice ever in Chelsea, eager to learn soccer and make friends because soccer should be available to everyone.
I am running for the Guinean 🇬🇳 , Afghan 🇦🇫 , and Haitian 🇭🇹 newcomers who have just arrived in MA. We're glad you're here! SWB is excited to meet you on the field soon!
Please join me in this campaign and help us keep our soccer fields a place where youth can express themselves and create meaningful connections.
