I'm running the 52nd ASICS Falmouth Road Race for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation
I'm fundraising for JAF because as an employee, I see first-hand the positive impact that JAF's programs have on patients and their family members.
When a cancer patient is in active treatment, families experience employment disruptions and unexpected expenses related to care that can quickly compromise their financial stability. This struggle leads some patients to choose between paying a treatment-related expense, a household bill, or buying food for their families.
JAF believes that no cancer patients should have to make that choice.
If I can help one family buy food or make a rent/mortgage payment so they remain housing stable while a family member is in treatment, I am going to do it!!
You can too! Many thanks for helping!
Description
JAF is committed to providing assistance to patients of all ages, any cancer, throughout New England who are struggling financially due to a cancer diagnosis. JAF understands that everyday living expenses don’t stop because of a diagnosis, and JAF provides various programs to help patients make ends meet. Because patients and families must often devote all their energy and resources toward treatment, the Foundation helps alleviate financial and emotional stress by providing grants to assist with rent/mortgage, transportation to treatment, food, and more. Through our Assistance Programs and Wellness Assistance, the grant recipients can focus on their cancer treatment and not the financial distress that comes with it.
Thank you in advance for your support!
