My Story…
Hello friends, family, and supporters! I am privileged to be able to run the Falmouth Road Race again this year to support an incredibly important cause, the Progeria Research Foundation. Progeria is a rare, fatal childhood disease that causes rapid aging. Most children with Progeria do not live beyond their teens.
The PRF is the only non-profit organization in the world dedicated to Progeria research -- toward finding treatments, supporting patients and their families, and working toward a cure. Very little research was done before the PRF was established by Leslie Gordon and Scott Berns, who lost their son Sam to the disease. Thanks to the PRF, life-extending treatments have been identified, and children and families now have the support that they need. There is more work to be done toward a cure!
It is a humbling honor and privilege to run this race in support of the PRF. It's a cause that I'm passionate about. My goal is to raise awareness about the PRF and its work. Thank you for considering making a donation to support this important cause!
