Help Susie raise money

Dear Friends,

I'm excited to join my Nantucket team to run this year's race! This is my second year running and it feels more special this year than last. The longer we live on Nantucket the more grateful I am for the resources that we have and the more dedicated I am to bringing additional resources to our community. 

Our team is raising funds to bring much needed medical care to those on island walking their Cancer journey. I know the experience of having to go off island for Mae's medical needs and the stress that can bring when coordinating logistics. Not to mention the underlying stress of a potential emergency and how we would get to her team. 

In our situation, I get to be with her and we get to keep everyone else's life largely untouched by it. If I were the one with the issue who had to travel off island for treatment or appointments it would have a tremendous impact on my children, my husband, my business and every area of my life. 

I'm running to raise money for Cancer treatment for on island residents so they may receive the care they need in their home community. I'm running to bring resources to a community I love deeply. I'm running to be an example to my children of what it means to give back and take care of each other. 

I hope you will join me in this effort and contribute whatever feels good to you. We're all touched by Cancer. The diagnosis alone is disruptive, we all deserve to receive care within our community.
